About the event

The Lightyears Explode are an Alternative/Pop/Punk Rock duo comprising of Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Saurabh Roy and Bassist Shalom Benjamin. Their live act is augmented by Jeremy D’Souza on the Drums and Jishnu “Short Round” Guha on the Guitars. The band writes energetic, honest songs with simple Pop structures filtered through their Alternative Rock influences. They are currently finishing work on their Second Full-Length Album called “Suburban Prose” set for Release in 2023.Long Distances is an indie rock act of Aarifah Rebello, Apurv Agrawal, and Zubin Pastakia. The band creates music that speaks to the uncertainties and anxieties of our times, with a soundscape of dreamy vocals, melodic guitar leads, shimmering synths, gritty rhythm guitars and pounding drums. Joined live by Adil Kurwa (bass), Karun Kannampilly (drums) and Gouri Ranjit (synths/harmonies), they will debut songs from their forthcoming EP, 'How the Mighty Will Fall'.Founded in February 2021 by brothers Sarthak and Shashwat Karkare, St. Cyril aims to create palatable rock music incorporating both old and new elements from the genre. With their many years of experience fronting the alternative rock band 'Unohu' and compelled to start afresh in the middle of the pandemic, the brothers combined their love for old-school rock n roll with their modern tastes and learnings, hoping to recreate the magic of their favourite pop numbers for a broader world audience, largely fed on layers of produced electronica and seemingly starved for hooky rock music.Working largely from their home studio, the duo have been focused on creating a diverse body of work over the past year and have recently started performing in their home city of Mumbai and neighbouring Pune to enthusiastic support.
